We started class with a quiz. After the quiz the groans in the class were increased when a new seating arrangement was announced. The topic for the day were chapters 5-6, with the main subject whether or not Gene intentionally jounced the tree limb (pg. 59-60). Most people thought that Gene wasn't completely aware of his actions. The class then discussed the various points of Gene and Finny's relationship. Jealously and Finny steering the relationship were highlighted as the main points. Mrs. Wray then shared a story of jealously about her ex-boyfriend. The class ended with everyone remembering a childhood place for the upcoming poem.
